The tents were well laid out and neat, the food prepared by Raymond and his team was unbelievable! Imagine a Restaurant style dining up in the mountains with such detail including uniformed chef and servers!! The guides Robinson and Soledad were very educated on Inca history and the land. Robinson is very funny and keeps us on track and guides us. Soledad is very compassionate and caring. i fell sick on day 2 and another member had a chronic sickness which was slowing her down. the 2 guides talked among themselves and one of the guides slowed down and walked with us through the trek, while the other handled the others! This way they ensured each and everyone was taken care of with their individual needs! Soledad was the assistant guide but based on how she handled the situation and stepped up to the task, she is ready to lead her own group as the senior guide!
Overall I strongly recommend the Classic Inca trail and treXperience!!
We did a 4 day luxury Inca tour with Trexperience finishing at Machu Picchu. Our guide JJ, and assistant guide Filio we’re absolutely amazing!!! They made our dream come… read more true. Our head Chef, Walter cooked some of the most delicious meals we’ve ever had, much less on a mountain backpacking trip! The food was exquisite! They were patient, positive, and motivating through all the challenges of this amazing trail. You absolutely must ask for JJ and Filio! They made an amazing trip absolutely outstanding. I can’t say enough good things about them or our experience with Trexperience. The Inka trail is the most beautiful and challenging trip we’ve taken to include the Everest Base Camp trail. He taught us all about the Inca history and interesting facts on… read more each day of every hike. Most importantly he always made sure we were all comfortable, happy, and provided an experience better than I could have imagined. Thank you Carlos for some of the best 5 days of my life!
Seriously this trek was challenging, but Trexperience had everything planned out perfect. Even down to the little details such as luggage storage or pick up, they have everything organized so you can have 5 days of no prob-llama’s.
Our chefs and porters worked so hard and made the trek so much easier for us. Thank you to our chefs Celso and Abel for the incredible food each and everyday! Every meal was fantastic!! It’s amazing what they can cook in the mountains.
I signed up for this trek with my girlfriend and there were and we started with four other strangers. Carlos turned us into family and I hope to stay connected with these new friends in the future.

Our guide Robinzon was great and friendly… read more and allowed all people on our group to trek at their own pace on all four days which was great.
The food provided on all four days was the best food I have had while at cusco and is something you definitely will look forward to on all four days.
If you’re thinking of treking the Inca trail, you wouldn’t be left disappointed if you go with trexperience like all 8 of us in our group

What an incredible experience!! From the food, to the porters who carried everything up and down the mountains, to our wonderful guide, Edy, every detail was amazing. I highly recommend… read more this trip. Prepare yourself though, as you definitely need to be in relatively good shape to handle the full day hikes. We arrived every late afternoon to our tents already set up by the porters and the food already getting cooked for dinner. What a treat! We learned so much from Edy about the history of the Incan civilization, and I cannot describe the light hitting Machu Picchu for the first time. Machu Picchu was breathtaking. I wouldn’t have changed a thing! You’ll have the full experience doing this four day trek.
Amazing amazing experience!!! We hiked with our teenage daughters. This being our first hike we were bit nervous about the enormity of project. I will not lie it was… read more hard but with the help of our guide Edy, we could not only accomplish it but had a great time as well. The way edy and his team supported us is beyond words. They took care of all our needs before we even realize it. Food was amazing, not just taste wise but also presentation. They took care of all our dietary needs as well and would work around . Our cook Ronaldo is nothing short of five star cook. You can feel his passion. All the team is super passionate about their culture and heritage and Edy kept explaining us about communities and their roles on our way to trek. He is very knowledgeable about Inca, pre Inca and other local civilizations. I can say on and on about how happy I am with my experience. Overall very nice trip.
Robinson and Sol were amazing tour guides!! They were so informative and helpful throughout the 4 days and made sure the whole group were having an amazing time.
The chefs… read more were amazing- best food I’ve ever eaten! There was so much food and they catered so well for all dietary requirements. The porters were so good as well, they worked so hard for us and still seemed so happy. Amazing trip overall

Our guide Carlos Colca was helpful, knowledgeable and facilitated… read more a great group dynamic that was important as a solo traveler who had never done a group trip like this before. The chefs Celso and Abel worked nonstop preparing incredible three course meals in tents at 13k feet. Could not be happier or more impressed with how everything went. No prob-llamas.
A unforgettable trip and would 100% recommend – once in a lifetime. Four days of hiking with stunning scenery and fascinating history explained by excellent tour guides with knowledge… read more and seemingly endless energy and passion. What’s more, the camping was made better by some delicious meals cooked by great chefs – where all the tents, equipment and food were carried up by porters.

Had 2 guides, Robinson and Walter. Very helpful, knowledgeable and experience. They made my trip very memorable. Thanks
I have hiked quit a lot, but this experience is different and unique with porters and chiefs services. I highly recommend it to anyone who don’t mind outdoor living… read more for a few days. More specifically, here are what I like and some thoughts
Like:
1. The porters are working very hard for very little, and they are very attentive, eager to please if we need anything. I would suggest to bring a lot more changes to tip them.
2. Our guides, Carlos and Joao are very personable and fun, knowable and experienced. I have enjoyed the interaction with them greatly. I wish I asked them a lot more questions, cultural and personal.
3. The chief ( Julio) and meals are excellent, I am amazed how did he manage to produce the meals with beautiful presentation under such primitive conditions? Again, the porters bring in everything include cooking stove, pots and pans, propane etc Tip is: be prepared to eat three square meal a day!:-)
Suggestions:
1. Company could ask us to indicate the t-shirt size ahead of time online to make it easier for the guides.
2. I would like to stick to the same sleeping bag and pillow, so a system to put our name there would be helpful.
3. For travelers, I wish I read more about the history so I can learn even more from the trip.
It was a wonderful experience, the trail/place and the people have touched me deeply, and I’d do it again!

If I could rate higher than five stars I would. The MOST amazing trip!!! Perfect five days of an incredible trek, everything was meticulously planned and seamless. The food was certainly a highlight of the trip— you will not go hungry with these guys. We had a group of 6 plus five porters and our amazing guide Carlos Colca. The atmosphere was so fun, we always had something to do and the equipment was high quality, clean and comfortable. The hotel on the last night was beautiful as well. I seriously cannot recommend this trip enough.
The Classic Salkantay trek introduces not only the eyes but the soul to many different beautiful natural sights throughout Peru, all leaving you breathless (literally). It was my first trekking… read more experience, and it wouldn’t have gone as well if it wasn’t for our guide Nilo. Not only was Nilo an excellent guide, who was well versed in the knowledge surrounding the region and history, but he was also a great leader who would always go out of his way to make sure everyone was safe. He would stay with the last person in the group, making them not feel like a burden and helping with all of our needs along the trek. We were always met with great nutritious meals delivered by our chef Vacilio and sous chef Eusebio, which would enable us to travel great distances. Lastly, our personal belongings would always greet us at our campsites or before meals due to the extraordinary diligence of our horseman Frank. I had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go on more trekking experiences.
This tour will be the best thing you ever do!
4 days of beautiful scenery and amazing hosts. The tour guide Bernabe made the trip so special, was super friendly… read more and had lots of amazing information to share. We ate so well every day thanks to the chef Timo, some of the best food I’ve had in Peru and we even got a cake for our friends birthday!

I was excited to experience Machu Picchu and bond with my sister, which most certainly happened. The unexpected adventures and incredibly nice people left me speechless. I’m not sure how to describe all of the bonus adventures, so I’ll just say BOOK AND GO!
* I’ll finish with this. Our tour guide, Vincent was absolutely exceptional. He was accommodating, flexible, and pleased to work with and hang with. I genuinely feel that Vincent is the reason this trip was over-the-top incredible! Thank you, Vincent! You’re the best!
Our guide Luis was helpful and had always interesting informations for us. He patiently tried to fulfill all the wishes of all guests. He was like a friend and we… read more would go with him again anytime.

The… read more porters led by Leon were amazing – the efforts of Eugenio and the smile and service of Abel were much appreciated as were the hard work of the rest of the team. The chef Amilcar prepared absolutely divine food and catered exceptionally well for vegetarians.
The trek itself is a great experience and Machu Picchu lived up to the hype.
I highly recommend Trexperience.

Our guide was kind… read more enough to let us maintain our pace ahead of the group. At one point he even ran to catch up with us ( rest of the group was 30 minutes behind) to give us directions and ensure we were fine! I would definitely recommend this trek & this company! This was an unforgettable experience start to finish. Our guides Robinson and Manollo together with the Pisac porters group took a great care of us and the whole organisation. The… read more guides were both native Andean and gave us authentic information about their culture and heritage which we really enjoyed. They not just explained by also often showed us live how they use different plants for water, food, medicine or building materials. Robinson made all the effort for us to really enjoy our vacation, especially being flexible with the schedule to allow us to see more of the amazing sites along the way. He even negotiated with a ranger in one of the Inka sites to allow us to stay longer and watch an amazing sunset. He came down with a stomach bug on a third day but despite that he kept going and we wouldn’t have even noticed it if he hadn’t missed the breakfast. Manollo especially impressed on us all of their Andean/Inka culture and religion that is still preserved to this day in his village; he made sure we were well entertained even through the difficult parts of the hike and even went so far to play the Andean flute for us on the final descent on the second day after two very big climbs. The echoes of his playing from the surrounding peaks created a magical atmosphere that is hard to describe. The chef and his assistants were the unexpected highlight of the trip. Throughout we ate amazing and authentic food on par with the best Peruvian restaurants and it came with the amazing food decorations to make the experience feast for eyes as well. Our porters did an amazing job as well. This was our first hike like this and we had no idea how much work porters put into it and how important it is. They carried so much more stuff than we expected and were running around the mountains to set up our lunch and night camps ahead of us to make sure they were ready whenever we arrived. They woke us up every morning with a hot coca tea and hot water of hot water to wash our faces and teeth and also welcomed us to night camps with hot water to wash and relax our feet after a long day of hiking. Most of the things they did for us we didn’t even knew we needed and in few cases we needed something they literally ran across the camp so that we don’t need to wait more than few seconds. It was an outstanding level of service, way above the level we’d expect coming from Europe. Overall it was a five star experience.
Our guides Pepe and Filio were very knowledgeable and provided everything we needed to have a great 4 days. The food was also great, kudos to chef Senche. Very accommodating… read more to different diets as well.
I had one of my best experiences during the 4-days Inca-trail hike with the TreXperience. The trail and scenery is spectacular. But it could be really difficult without our experienced tour guide… read more and team (great chef and porters). Here are good and bad things about TreXperience:
Good:
– Great great team, specifically the guid (Robinson) and the chef(Julio Secar) (see below)
– Great organization of the whole trip: Everything was reasonably scheduled (wake up, food, sleep times).
– Reasonable plans: All the stuff was planned in a way that all of our group enjoyed.
– Helpful orientation before the trip and pick-up and drop-off plus storing our loguages during our trip.
Bad/Suggestions: Really cannot think of anything!
About our guide and chef:
Our tour guide(Robbinson) was one of the main factors that made our experience great. He was very patient. While he let faster members go ahead and enjoy their speed, he always followed the last person (the slowest) and made sure that they were OK and enjoying their trip. He had a really good sense of humor and he was very knowledgeable not only about the historical sites and Incas’ history, but also about the nature there. He showed us a lot of very cool stuff about how Inca’s would use nature to survive.
Also the chef was incredibly good. He made a lot of different foods (mostly Peruvian) with really good quality (every time I wished I could eat more).
And finally, none of these would be possible without our super nice local porters.
The entire trip was impeccably planned. Pepe and Filio were extremely knowledgeable guides! The chef Sinche was amazing the food and the presentation were top notch, couldn’t believe it given… read more the circumstances of being so far away from a big city.

I booked classic Inca Trail 4 days with TreXperience on June 22, 2022 to June 25, 2022. My group had 5 people(1 couple from Denmark, 1 couple from London and… read more myself from Canada).
Our tour guide is Luis Jose Flores. We could call him Pepe but we called him MASTER after 2 days. He’s very calm, patience, funny, honest and has so much knowledge about Inca history and he loves and passionate about his country. He showed us how to pray to Pachamama with coca leaves. We all love it. He’s very well organized and timing our schedule very well making sure we have the best time. He’s even brought us the train station at the end of the trip and tell us where to wait for the train to go back to Cusco. We had so much great memory with him.
Our chefs Raymundo is an amazing chef. Menu change everyday from breakfast to lunch and dinner. We all love teatime everyday before dinner with freshly made popcorn right beside us. All the meals he made were so fresh and delicious. We all love his caramelized banana flambé with Pisco.
Porters we had 11 porters for 5 people. They work so hard. They carried our personal belongings, foods, tents, stove..every time we arrived to campsite they applauses us and bring us warm water to clean our face, hands to our tents. Warm Coca tea every morning to our tents and again warm water with their smile. They treated us like KINGS and QUEENS. Once we wanted to try to carry their backpack to see how heavy they’re carrying to climb up and down to mountains. We appreciate a lot for what they’re doing to give us the most comfortable possible.
TreXperience is very well organized for prepare our pick up dropping off on time and very friendly driver. Thank you for this great experience. I appreciate very much for the whole team made my vacation so memorable .

The chef Julio went above and beyond with the food it was incredible and especially with me and my partner being vegetarian. The 2 porters Abel and Deonicio were attentive, the hard work they put in to make sure everything has arrived to camp, they prepare everything for your arrival they work so hard.
Even our horse man Ali was the best.
The tour itself is great beautiful surroundings and scenery, the trek to salkantay was difficult but worth it.
We had a couple of changes to our plans but for the better, we ended up going to the hot springs and zip lining and it was THE best experience, the zip lining is insane, i am so glad Vincente added this into our tour.
Unfortunately the views from Machu Picchu was foggy but the knowledge Vincente had about Inca history was second to none.
This trip was one of my best experiences. Spectacular sceneries and beautiful Inca sites on the way. Trexperience team was awesome. Our tour guid, Robinzon, was very knowledgeable about the… read more Inca’s history and the nature and gave us a lot of cool tips along the way. He had a really good sense of humor as well.
My friend and I have chronic knee pain so we walked slowly and were always behind the rest of the group. Robinzon was very patient, always walking behind us, assuring us to go with our own pace, always saying "step by step, go with your own pace and enjoy the hike!" :)
Our chef, Julio Cesar was amazing. I don’t even know how he could manage preparing and cooking 2-3 different types of food so quickly. Both the taste and the presentation of the meals were great.
Every step of the way was scheduled nicely and went on plan. I would highly recommend Trexperience.
Our guide Filio was very helpful and friendly and the cooks Francisco and Rosalio were excellent. They cooked great things (also vegetarian) and even made an amazing cake!

Our trip was absolutely amazing! Vicente was the best guide we have ever had on a tour. We brought our 8yr old on the trek, and a day… read more later, he also misses Vicente. He was equal parts fun and easy going as he was organized and professional. The entire group was truly fantastic. Jorge, Demetrio, and Julien were brilliant with meals. It was really restaurant quality food in the middle of a mountain. Everything was made fresh and traditionally. Thank you so much to Vicente, Jorge, Demetrio, and Julien for making every single moment of this trip memorable.
Exceeded all expectations. A truly fantastic experience. We could not have asked for a better guide in Adolfo. He is very knowledgeable about the trek, Machu Picchu, the vegetation, culture,… read more etc. Cenovio was our chef; He is very talented as well. Delicious and creative meals.
