I highly recommend… read more this trip. Prepare yourself though, as you definitely need to be in relatively good shape to handle the full day hikes. We arrived every late afternoon to our tents already set up by the porters and the food already getting cooked for dinner. What a treat! Favorite part? Everything. I wouldn’t change a single thing about this trip. Charlie, Sarita, and our chef, sous chef, and porters were just such an attentive and caring team. And… read more this is in addition to being on an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience. And did I mention the food? Holy smokes! Better than any food I had in Lima or Cusco (or in most places, really). I could not recommend this trip more—start to finish (even with some pretty intense, high altitude hiking) WORTH EVERY PENNY.

The route was incredible, every day breath-taking. The opportunity to understand the Quechua and Inkan culture and history was invaluable. Of course Macchu Pichu was incredible but the highlight, by far, was the days before.
Would recommend to anyone! Thank you to TreXperience.

Thanks again

Huge thanks to the whole crew and especially our amazing guides Jose Calderon, Lourdes Soto, and Rosa Huillca ♥️♥️
We just finished the 4D3N Inca Trek and TreXperience took the best care of us. Robbie and his team made sure the whole family finished the trek. They encouraged us… read more along the way and kept a pace that wouldn’t overexert us. He knew all the cool spots to take breaks and he made sure we started early to beat the crowds. The cooks spoiled us with the most amazing food and the porters setup our tents so they’d be ready to slumber in once we got to our sites. I recommend this company to anyone wanting to go on their next Incan adventure!

This was an unforgettable experience start to finish. Our guides Robinson and Manollo together with the Pisac porters group took a great care of us and the whole organisation. The… read more guides were both native Andean and gave us authentic information about their culture and heritage which we really enjoyed. They not just explained by also often showed us live how they use different plants for water, food, medicine or building materials. Robinson made all the effort for us to really enjoy our vacation, especially being flexible with the schedule to allow us to see more of the amazing sites along the way. He even negotiated with a ranger in one of the Inka sites to allow us to stay longer and watch an amazing sunset. He came down with a stomach bug on a third day but despite that he kept going and we wouldn’t have even noticed it if he hadn’t missed the breakfast. Manollo especially impressed on us all of their Andean/Inka culture and religion that is still preserved to this day in his village; he made sure we were well entertained even through the difficult parts of the hike and even went so far to play the Andean flute for us on the final descent on the second day after two very big climbs. The echoes of his playing from the surrounding peaks created a magical atmosphere that is hard to describe. The chef and his assistants were the unexpected highlight of the trip. Throughout we ate amazing and authentic food on par with the best Peruvian restaurants and it came with the amazing food decorations to make the experience feast for eyes as well. Our porters did an amazing job as well. This was our first hike like this and we had no idea how much work porters put into it and how important it is. They carried so much more stuff than we expected and were running around the mountains to set up our lunch and night camps ahead of us to make sure they were ready whenever we arrived. They woke us up every morning with a hot coca tea and hot water of hot water to wash our faces and teeth and also welcomed us to night camps with hot water to wash and relax our feet after a long day of hiking. Most of the things they did for us we didn’t even knew we needed and in few cases we needed something they literally ran across the camp so that we don’t need to wait more than few seconds. It was an outstanding level of service, way above the level we’d expect coming from Europe. Overall it was a five star experience.
We recently took part in the Salkantay Trek and loved every minute. Our guide Manolo was a constant source of positive energy from dawn til dusk (or after dusk)! He… read more told us stories of the Incas, of the stars and of the different Quechua communities and kept us entertained when the going (altitude) got tough. Melchor served up excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and somehow managed to bake a pie and a cake after a long day of trekking. Pedro and Juan were excellent su chefs and porters, waking us up with hot coca tea in the mornings and ensuring we had warm water to wash our hands and faces with after a long day of hiking, and even bringing us hot water bottles to keep us warm on the first and second night.
Communication from Trexperience in the run up to the trek was fantastic. The whole trek was organised really well, from collection from our hostel on the first day to drop off on the last day (including collecting our luggage from the office and then the onward travel from the office back to our hostel). Everything ran smoothly without the slightest glitch. Would highly recommend!

We spent the last 3 days trekking the Inca trail and finished at Machu Picchu today with TreXperience and had the best time. We were woken up with hot coca tea delivered to our tents every morning and well fed with some of the most amazing hot meals and multi course lunches and dinners. Robbie made sure we got up early to beat the crowds so we could have the Inca sites to ourselves to enjoy in a relaxing manner and get great photos. This company goes above and beyond and the main reason id recommend them is how well they treat their employees. They all work so hard and they voiced to be happy working for this company. It always feels nice supporting a business that takes care of their own.

The organisation of the trip was 10/10 and we felt so lucky to experience it with such a great tour group. If you’re looking for an ethical tour company that treats its staff (including porters and chefs) well, then look no further and book with Trexperience! I was moved to hear the stories of each member of staff and it was great to be introduced to them all on day 3 of the hike.
The only thing which i think could be improved is the clarity around how much to tip before attending – the recommended tip overall worked out around £150 per person which we hadn’t understood and therefore hadn’t brought with us beforehand, so we then went to a cash point. Of course its entirely discretionary whether and how much to tip, however more clarity before the trek would have been really appreciated so we didn’t turn up shortchanged.
Would highly recommend Trexperience for the 4 day Classic Inca trail and we all had a great time and was well organised.
Our guide Robinzon was great and friendly… read more and allowed all people on our group to trek at their own pace on all four days which was great.
The food provided on all four days was the best food I have had while at cusco and is something you definitely will look forward to on all four days.
If you’re thinking of treking the Inca trail, you wouldn’t be left disappointed if you go with trexperience like all 8 of us in our group

It is a well organized trip (porters, cook, guides) that do everything – so it is more a luxury trek, if you like to hike real basic :)
Unfortunately, it was too challenging for us (in our 60s) so if you’re over 55 our advice is not to attempt it unless you are superfit. However, If you are… read more planning to do the 4 day challenge, TreXPerience is most highly recommended. We trekked with Charly – who took full care of us and when it was clear that we would not be able to carry on, he and TreXperience were supreme in their support of us arranging to have us accompanied from the trek back to where we could be collected by motorbike and then taken to km.82, where a driver picked us up and took us to a hotel which the company had arranged for us. The company (and Charly when he could connect to data) were in constant contact with us advising us on how to make the journey by transport to Aguascalientes and onward to Machu Picchu where we met up with the group again. Everyone (Charley, Tom, Coronel, porters and drivers), where outstanding in their care of us and, they will be our first of call for any other tours when we come back to Cusco. Charly is also impressive as an historian and passionate about his culture.

What an experience. My wife and I originally planned this trip before COVID, and it did not disappoint. Met us at our hotel, sped us through the line for the bus, and explained every step of the entry process. Then he guided us through the Incan ruins themselves, patiently answering every question, sharing stories, explaining features of the mountains and the temples, and taking lots of pictures for us. I cannot recommend him highly enough; he made a dream vacation even better.
It was very hard and very beautiful. Bring thermal underwear for the cold nights and a headlight! The food was amazing (very very good, and loads of it) and everything… read more was taken care of: I only carried my personal day pack, the porters carried everything else. The guides (Robinson and Soledad) were very professional and friendly. I felt very safe.
