Great experience provided by outstanding guides Robinzon and Maribel. They were informative, knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant company to lead us through the Andes. TreXperience planned for many details, the food,… read more sleeping accommodations and schedule all worked great. Big thanks to the porters too for making it all possible!
We ran into a bit of a problem with seating assignments on our way back to Cusco, but all-in-all a small issue that they noted would do better going forward.
We had the most incredible time hiking with Trexperience, I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide Pepe had so much knowledge, was so friendly and created a really great… read more atmosphere! He took lots of pictures for us and was happy to go slowly for the hiking portion of the trip to accommodate our fitness levels! This was one of the most amazing excursions of my life! I’m a pretty experienced traveler and been on many tours, and this was something else. It was extremely well… read more organized, the porters were super heroes, and our chef Julio Cesar was a master in the kitchen! Our meals were so thoughtful and delicious. It’s amazing what he can put together in the middle of nowhere with such an amazing staff to help him. Everyone with the company was very thoughtful and helpful with anything we needed.
Our guide, Carlos Ccolcca, was the absolute best! He was so knowledgeable and personable. He really took care of us during the entire trip.
What wasn’t expected was that in our group of 7, which would be a great for intimacy and bonding, there would be a couple from the Netherlands who were VERY sick and demanded much of our guide’s time. They were unbelievably rude and selfish as to their needs when they should have ultimately decided NOT to take part in a physically demanding multiple day hike. We also had three teenagers who were not accompanied by their parent. The kids also hiked as fast as possible from point A to point B, leaving the rest of the group behind. Our guide had to stay behind with the sick people for safety reasons. The parent of said teenagers apparently decided that our guide was supposed to be their babysitter, and made it known that she felt her children should have been watched over 24-7, which in this situation with the Dutch couple, was not possible. Carlos did the absolute best he could in the situation and to make our time memorable.
Anyone who takes part in a tour knows how important the synchronicity of a group is to the overall experience, and unfortunately selfish sick people and unaccompanied children aren’t a great contribution to that. Tour gets 5 stars, but our group gets 2 stars!

The trail is not for the faint hearted! But nonetheless well worth it, and with the continued support of our two tour guides, Pepe and Sarah, it wouldn’t have been possible. Food was exceptional. The chef Francisco prepared meals that introduced us to Peruvian cuisine. The table was set up nice and colorful with beautiful flowers that allowed us to relax after a long walking day.
The campsite was already set by the time we arrived. Warm water to wash your face, warm towels and cool (purified) water on the hot afternoons.
Every morning we were woken up with the musical voice of Melky. It was refreshing to see his smile and saying "good morning, good morning. Coca tea or coffee"
We learned history and customs of the locals. Elisban took his great knowledge and patience to share all this information.
The mystic views, the hard climbing and the camaraderie of the rest of the hikers made this trip so special. At the end of the trip all of us were family. Hugs and tears were the common affection when we conquered the Machu Picchu.

Amazing experience, great service and best company you could chose.
Those guys took very much care about their customers. We were a group of 8 people who absolutely fitted… read more to one another. TravleXperienxe provided Porters who carried 7 kg of your stuff and those guys did an amazing job. As well as a great cook, Sous-chef and waiter ( the lovely Juvenal, who had his first table with us) who cooked great food and took good care about us. We received warm water every morning to wash ourselves and had a cup of coca tea. As a single traveler I had the chance to sleep in a single Teint (this you have to ask for explicitly). The guides were also awesome. Very funny and provided good information about the trip. Robinzon was our main guide. He is funny and empathetic and helped those who needed more help. Walter the second guide did. also a great job and took care of one of our group who had knee issues and needed much more time to walk.
I have to say, that it was the best trip I made in Peru and it is absolut worth the price. For those who are ich differing doing the Inka Trail, please be aware that you have to be fit. It is no walk in the park and especially Day 2 is physically hard. Even though the guises take care of you and provide you medicine if you have problems with the altitude etc. it is hard. If you feel fit enough definitely do it because it is the best experience you could get. In a nutshell I highly recommend this company.

They have high quality equipment, attentive… read more and incredibly hard working porters and chefs (the food was amazing, not what I was expecting when trekking and camping in the mountains) and of course our fun local guide Robbie who was first class with his fluent English, great knowledge of the Inkan/pre-Inkan sites we visited as well as history and culture of the local area and people. Special thanks for putting up with our endless questions (!) and making sure each of us in the group got what we wanted from the experience. And for the 4am daily coca tea !
Not an easy hike but achievable for various ages and fitness levels and worth ticking off the bucket list. I’d highly recommend Trexperience.

Cannot recommend this experience with te experience enough!
NB: We completed the 5-day Inca trail, not the 4-day (no option to select this)
The whole trek was amazing.
Juvenal was an unbelievable tour guide with great… read more English, expert knowledge and information that other tours would not have got because of his in-depth experience of the history of the Incas.
The trek can be challenging at parts but there is plenty of time to complete each day, and the porters/chef really make each lunch and dinner special with the campsite and food preparations.
We would highly highly recommend this tour and especially Juvenal as a guide.
This was by far the best experience we’ve ever done in our lives.
So I did the 4 day inca trail, whilst challenging in places it was the best trek/hike I’ve ever done.
I was lucky to have two excellent guides Ali and… read more pepe, without these two guys I think the experience wouldn’t of been anywhere near as good as it was.
Also the team of porters and cook from pisac were incredible. So supportive and the food was incredibly good.
How the porters zip past even on the steepest inclines I will never know.
Once again what an amazing experience that wouldn’t of been half as good without the guys running it.
Thanks for the memories
This tour will be the best thing you ever do!

We ate so well every day thanks to the chef Timo, some of the best food I’ve had in Peru and we even got a cake for our friends birthday!

We had a wonderful time on the 4 day machu picchu trek – it was hard work but so rewarding. Arriving to the sun gate and seeing the sun come… read more up over machu picchu was magical and an experience I’ll never forget. The guides jose luis and filio were fantastic, knowledgable and were incredibly supportive during the hike. It was wonderful to arrive at the campsites with the tents erected, hot water waiting for us and a round of applause from the incredible porters. The food was very good and plentiful – complements to the great chef Senshe.
Did a tour with Pepe, rositas, sinchimacha, group of porters from lares. It was absolutely fantastic. Would not do this trek with any other group anymore! They were fantastic!
I 100% recommend doing the Inca trail with TreXperience. Everything was well organised and our guides Eddie and Sara were so passionate and knowledgeable. If I could rate just the tour guide himself, I’d give him 5 stars for being funny, informative and all-around pleasant to be with throughout the tour.
Unfortunately, due… read more to the poor planning (whether intentional or unintentional) carried out by Trexperience, it unfortunately worsened the experience. Hopefully this review can act as some constructive criticism for them.
The first day tour of Chinchero, Moray, Maras and Ollantaytambo went pretty smoothly. But the food at the designated restaurants was not that great and very sneakily did not include drinks.
The included accomodation at Machu Picchu Town was absolutely shocking and was one of the cheapest hotels available, clearly assigned by Trexperience just because of its low price. The hotel was also actually rated below the three-stars that it said it would be on the summary.
The second day, it was a great idea getting up early in order to be one of the first to visit Machu Picchu on that day. The tour of Machu Picchu was great but I definitely did not enjoy having my restaurant being assigned to me and then having to pay for it myself; If I’m paying for a restaurant, I want to be able to choose myself where I dine.
The cherry on the top for poor planning came where Trexperience assigned me to Seat 2 and assigned my girlfriend to Seat 26, the other end of the train.
Clearly Trexperience do not put much thought into planning which leaves the guide having to fight a difficult battle to leave to customer satisfied.
All in all, a great experience disturbed by poor organisation.
Overall it was an incredible experience run by an A+ Company
Our guide Charly was professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely do it again and use Trexxperiemce
Had a great experience. Robinzon was a superb guide. He took the trail at our pace. He had extensive knowledge of the history, plants and animals of the area. He… read more was always willing to answer any questions we had. The guide company arranged all of our tickets/passes for transportation, and to get into Machu Picchu which saved a lot of time. We did the hike in June (winter in Peru) Wearing layers during this time of year is a must as it can get down to 30F at night into the morning. I highly recommend Robinzon and TreXperience.
William was truly the best guide we could have asked for! He was so kind and funny and always made sure we were ok. The experience overall was incredible. Great… read more hiking, AMAZING food, a fun group of people on the trek, and great add-on experiences like a traditional Peruvian BBQ & coffee tour. The hiking was strenuous but beautiful, and William (and Maritza and William #2 – our other guides) always checked up on us as we were adjusting to the altitude. William is also an incredible photographer if we ever wanted a picture, and he shared so much of his Peruvian and Incan knowledge with us. I learned so much and just had a wonderful time. He also made sure we had the best Machu Picchu experience possible, waiting patiently for the clouds to lift. I would highly recommend this trek and William as a guide. He made such an effort to make this experience the best one possible for us, and it’s an experience I will never forget (also at a great value). “No Prob-Llamas” forever.

Fantastic company! They professionally took care of us from start to finish. They made the Inca trail and Machu Picchu visit better than I could have imagined. As the tour… read more guides, during this legendary hike, Pepe and Rositas kept our group comfortable, entertained, on schedule to see all the sites, and provided tons of back ground knowledge. Sinchimama, the camp chef, provided an amazing multi course buffet at every meal that I never would have expected. He even made accommodations for our team members with special diets. Lastly, I have to mention the porters. The porter group from Lares were an amazing group of cheerful super humans that made everything possible. Thank you again, I will be recommending this trail and company to everyone I know
This was an unforgettable experience start to finish. Our guides Robinson and Manollo together with the Pisac porters group took a great care of us and the whole organisation. The… read more guides were both native Andean and gave us authentic information about their culture and heritage which we really enjoyed. They not just explained by also often showed us live how they use different plants for water, food, medicine or building materials. Robinson made all the effort for us to really enjoy our vacation, especially being flexible with the schedule to allow us to see more of the amazing sites along the way. He even negotiated with a ranger in one of the Inka sites to allow us to stay longer and watch an amazing sunset. He came down with a stomach bug on a third day but despite that he kept going and we wouldn’t have even noticed it if he hadn’t missed the breakfast. Manollo especially impressed on us all of their Andean/Inka culture and religion that is still preserved to this day in his village; he made sure we were well entertained even through the difficult parts of the hike and even went so far to play the Andean flute for us on the final descent on the second day after two very big climbs. The echoes of his playing from the surrounding peaks created a magical atmosphere that is hard to describe. The chef and his assistants were the unexpected highlight of the trip. Throughout we ate amazing and authentic food on par with the best Peruvian restaurants and it came with the amazing food decorations to make the experience feast for eyes as well. Our porters did an amazing job as well. This was our first hike like this and we had no idea how much work porters put into it and how important it is. They carried so much more stuff than we expected and were running around the mountains to set up our lunch and night camps ahead of us to make sure they were ready whenever we arrived. They woke us up every morning with a hot coca tea and hot water of hot water to wash our faces and teeth and also welcomed us to night camps with hot water to wash and relax our feet after a long day of hiking. Most of the things they did for us we didn’t even knew we needed and in few cases we needed something they literally ran across the camp so that we don’t need to wait more than few seconds. It was an outstanding level of service, way above the level we’d expect coming from Europe. Overall it was a five star experience.
You know you have the best crew when things goes wrong and they amaze you even so! I had problems with the altitude and with my knee, they adjusted everything… read more so I could experience the trail and be with the group. The crew was incredible!!! Julio is the best chef ever!! We had everything we need to rest and enjoy. I already told you that the food is amazing?? It is! The trail is very demanding, you need to be prepared and open to the adventure. But worth it! Strongly recommend you to use this company and to take cash to tip properly the support team, sometimes the tips are bigger than their salary and they definitely overdeliver! I was always resistant to camping and having allergy problems was concerned about eat. They took any concern away. I couldn’t walk fast as the others so they had someone to be with me.
