Very fun and adventurous days that I highly recommend!
We had awesome time with great food from Rolando and very knowledgeable guides Soledad and Robinson and very hard working porters lead by Toribio.
What an amazing experience this was.

If I could rate just the tour guide himself, I’d give him 5 stars for being funny, informative and all-around pleasant to be with throughout the tour.
Unfortunately, due… read more to the poor planning (whether intentional or unintentional) carried out by Trexperience, it unfortunately worsened the experience. Hopefully this review can act as some constructive criticism for them.
The first day tour of Chinchero, Moray, Maras and Ollantaytambo went pretty smoothly. But the food at the designated restaurants was not that great and very sneakily did not include drinks.
The included accomodation at Machu Picchu Town was absolutely shocking and was one of the cheapest hotels available, clearly assigned by Trexperience just because of its low price. The hotel was also actually rated below the three-stars that it said it would be on the summary.
The second day, it was a great idea getting up early in order to be one of the first to visit Machu Picchu on that day. The tour of Machu Picchu was great but I definitely did not enjoy having my restaurant being assigned to me and then having to pay for it myself; If I’m paying for a restaurant, I want to be able to choose myself where I dine.
The cherry on the top for poor planning came where Trexperience assigned me to Seat 2 and assigned my girlfriend to Seat 26, the other end of the train.
Clearly Trexperience do not put much thought into planning which leaves the guide having to fight a difficult battle to leave to customer satisfied.
All in all, a great experience disturbed by poor organisation.
O wouldn’t have been able to complete this trip without the help and support of the guides and the team or porters. I will be forever grateful for the help… read more and support they gave me.

During the trip I had the best time thanks to great guides such as Robinson and Maribel. Porters and chef were also great people. I would recommend and come back with them.
Just a little but, the showers were not warm. Otherwise, everything was as expected or even better.
Thank you so much for helping me making this dream come true.

Our tour guide Carlos was really friendly, and knew a lot about the country and culture. He made the experience unforgettable.

We had an amazing 4 day Inca Trail experience with Trexperience.
JJ (Juan José) was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgable about the history of the trail and… read more tge culture of the Incas. He was also incredibly patient with our group. Everyone was going at different paces and JJ made sure that all the people in the group had a great time regardless.
The team of porters and Walter (our chef) were also fantastic. It’s a guarantee that you won’t eat beter anywhere in Peru if you do the Inca Trail with Walter. He made mostly Peruvian style dishes but also a few other cuisines ( we had tacos for lunch one day) and everything was excellent.
The trip itself is a can’t miss. It’s definitely more expensive than doing the Salkantay trek but it’s also a very different experience. We also got excellent views of the mountain ranges around the area, including Salkantay. You get to walk along parts of the trail that are almost the same as in the Inca’s time. The third day in particular (with excellent views of the mountains and some of the best ruins on the trip, Macchu Picchu included) is very good.
As for Macchu Picchu (and to some extent the Inca Trail in general), it is packed with people. If that is not your thing, then this trek may not be for you. On the Trail people are mostly spread out and you’re generally with your group. Macchu Picchu itself is very cool but also a zoo. If you prefer more solitude on your hikes, the Nevado Auzangate trek (we did it with Salkantay Trekking) is incredibly beautiful and comparatively devoid of people.
Overall, we would highly recommend Trexperience. They offer the 4 day Inca Trail for a competitive price and they truly treat you like kings.

… read more /> Robinzon and Manolo were the best guides one could ask for; they were both incredibly versed in the trail/sites, the Inka history and culture. They took the time, and gave us the time, to explore every site on the way to Machu Picchu. I also have to say that our porters, Grupo Pisaq, made this trip run as smoothly and as professionally as anyone hiking 4 days in extreme altitudes could ask for. The huge, added bonus were the 3 daily meals which were local flavor and on par with any top-notch Peruvian restaurant that you’d find out in "civilization". Thank you for everything!

What really made this trip special was the passion and knowledge of our guide Edy.
His explications and stories at each stop on the trail where insightful and eye opening. You can tell he loves sharing the history and culture of the Inca civilization.
Add in our other guide, Rosalinda, Chef Walter, and the team of porters (de Pisac) and it became an unforgettable experience! How they can cook such great food, setup each camp site and ensure everything is taken care of at every stop requires a lot of planning and organization and they make it look easy.
I definitely recommend this trip and Trexperience if you want a challenging, educational and all around awesome trip.
