The porters and chefs were amazing! Camp was always ready when we got there, they were helpful and willing to assist if needed. Can’t praise the chef enough who in some magic way managed to create such amazing dishes, with decoration, imagination put into them! Bravo!

I couldn’t have done this without their help and support. The porters and the chef, Julio Cesar, were fantastic, having everything set up for us when we arrived at camp —and the food was great! Even at camp, chef not only prepared a wonderful variety of more than we could eat, but the presentation was unbelievable. We even had fresh flowers on the tables! Our morning started with hot cocoa tea delivered to our tents, then a breakfast for champions. After hiking all morning, a terrific lunch was served, At the end of a full day of trekking, we enjoyed “tea time” popcorn, crackers and jam, hot chocolate, and of course tea. Then came our 4-5 dish dinner! Every day was different, deliciously prepared, very creatively presented.

The porters were beyond helpful, they were pleasant and encouraging with their smiles and high spirit as they worked hard to set up the tents and attend to all our needs, a group of 9 women.
The food is another level of camp food. We were well fed. We wouldn’t have gotten that quality of food in a standard restaurant: from The variety to quantity of food and the presentation. I could go on and on. In short, you can’t go wrong with food with Chef Julius Cesar and her assistants. Every day and night was a different dish. We even asked for the recipe to attempt to make it at home.

The food was certainly a highlight of the trip— you will not go hungry with these guys. We had a group of 6 plus five porters and our amazing guide Carlos Colca. I did the two day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu excursion with Robinzon as our guide. I am 43 and in good shape (HIIT workouts 2-3 times per week… read more and typically a 5K run each week). The trail wasn’t too bad, although parts could be challenging. I completed the trip in tennis shoes.
Robinzon was AMAZING!! He went at our pace (my 67 yo mother was with us) and was very patient. He was also very knowledgeable about history, flora, and fauna. Robinzon made sure we knew what was going on for each part of our trip and that we were taken care of- even checking in on mom the day after our trip! He took great pictures of us to document our experience. I wouldn’t have wanted any other guide- Robinzon was great!!

The briefing on… read more the first night gave us all the info we needed and, as a solo female traveller, I was put at ease.
The team of chef, assistants, porters and horsemen looked after us so well! The food was insane! We never went hungry and actually I felt bad there was always food left over. And it wasn’t just good food for being out in the mountains, it was GOOD food for anywhere! I can’t believe what they were able to make, including full on cakes! And we got to experience a meal cooked in a traditional oven in the ground.
The hot springs were a delightful start to the trip, although they would have been welcome after the 3 days trekking too! :) And the breakfast served was incredible!
The hike was beautiful! We were never rushed. It was fine that there were faster and slower walkers. Our guide Edy always made sure everyone was OK.
The nights were cold in June, so pack a warm coat and make sure you have something warm to sleep in, although we were given a sleeping bag liner and hot water bottle, which was a wonderful and welcome touch.
Edy was so much fun to spend 4 days with, and he was not only friendly and caring, but super knowledgeable. You could tell he cared deeply about the local people and the mountains. He told us all about the local communities, as well as the mountains, the fauna and the culture.
Machu Picchu was the highlight! Again, Edy was great! He was an expert at storytelling and relaying the history of Machu Picchu. He gave us all the time we needed for photos and for storytelling, and he was excellent at taking the best photos in the best spots.
It was an amazing experience I wish cherish forever! And TreXperience, Edy, and the group made me feel very safe and welcome as a solo traveller. I would definitely recommend TreXperience and do tours with them again!

We spent the last 3 days trekking the Inca trail and finished at Machu Picchu today with TreXperience and had the best time. We were woken up with hot coca tea delivered to our tents every morning and well fed with some of the most amazing hot meals and multi course lunches and dinners. Robbie made sure we got up early to beat the crowds so we could have the Inca sites to ourselves to enjoy in a relaxing manner and get great photos. This company goes above and beyond and the main reason id recommend them is how well they treat their employees. They all work so hard and they voiced to be happy working for this company. It always feels nice supporting a business that takes care of their own.
