The chefs,… read more Raymundo and Johan, were fantastic as well. Food was amazing. Augustine, the horseman, was a consummate professional. I recommend this trip to anyone!
Best guide we could’ve asked for. Super knowledgeable and always concerned for our well being. Wouldn’t go with anyone else

Thanks to Saranita and Charlie, the porters & chefs! I definitely can recommend this tour to everybody!
I’ll admit this was a gruelling trek, but the feeling of walking into Machu Picchu and all the history and culture along the way was so much better than taking… read more the train and bus in for a day trip. Half our group almost didnt complete the trip, two had sore knees from downhill steps, one had a sore back and altitude sickness, and a teenager burnt himself out on the first day throwing up and diarrhea. But our guides, Eddie and Rosa were excellent. They really cared about the group and lived the Quechuan culture of Family. Eddie was extremely passionate about the history and culture and Rosa was always smiling and laughing. porters from Pisac were also amazing. They ran around furiously after tirelessly hiking up and down dead womans pass to set up tents and mattresses for those that were struggling so they could get some rest. One of the group that was sick fell into some bushes and got small burrs all over his sweater. One porter spent half an hour picking the burrs out while he got some rest. Way above and beyond. Thank you Juvenal for all that you and your porters did for us. As most people say, the food was also excellent. Chef Raymundo made some amazing dishes and his fruit art was incredible. There was honestly way too much food. More than our group could possibly eat. If you want a truly unique experience and that once in lifetime experience of walking into Machu Picchu after a well earned trek, then do this trek. You definitely cant go wrong with TreXperience.

Our tour guide Jose Luis was absolutely brilliant and was incredibly knowledgable along the way but amazingly personable as well! Finally, the chef provided us with incredible food throughout which was totally unexpected given the remoteness! I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone!

Would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who doesn’t want to only take the quick picture of Machu Picchu.
Had 2 guides, Robinson and Walter. Very helpful, knowledgeable and experience. They made my trip very memorable. Thanks
I did the two day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu excursion with Robinzon as our guide. I am 43 and in good shape (HIIT workouts 2-3 times per week… read more and typically a 5K run each week). The trail wasn’t too bad, although parts could be challenging. I completed the trip in tennis shoes.
Robinzon was AMAZING!! He went at our pace (my 67 yo mother was with us) and was very patient. He was also very knowledgeable about history, flora, and fauna. Robinzon made sure we knew what was going on for each part of our trip and that we were taken care of- even checking in on mom the day after our trip! He took great pictures of us to document our experience. I wouldn’t have wanted any other guide- Robinzon was great!!
This was a great experience! I would recommend it to all! The inca trail was beautiful and our tour guide, Pepe, was wonderful! He gave us great information about incase… read more and their history, as well as the inca trails. The first day was a beautiful hike, which was challenging enough! The second day was all about Machu Picchu. We spent the night in a hotel, which was refreshing. I recommend this tour to anyone who is a hiker!
Recently completed the 4 day 3 night classic Inka Trail with Trexperience. What an amazing experience. The company was professional from start to finish. They have high quality equipment, attentive… read more and incredibly hard working porters and chefs (the food was amazing, not what I was expecting when trekking and camping in the mountains) and of course our fun local guide Robbie who was first class with his fluent English, great knowledge of the Inkan/pre-Inkan sites we visited as well as history and culture of the local area and people. Special thanks for putting up with our endless questions (!) and making sure each of us in the group got what we wanted from the experience. And for the 4am daily coca tea !
Not an easy hike but achievable for various ages and fitness levels and worth ticking off the bucket list. I’d highly recommend Trexperience.
Best experience ever!
We had the best experience through the Inca Trail for four days with an amazing team.
JJ and Juan were amazing tour guides, very knowledgeable and… read more friendly.
They shared all the information they knew about this amazing culture and the Inca history, while providing us with the best comfort along with the outstanding and very hardworking porters.
My partner and I are vegan, and Raymundo, the head chef, ensured we had very nutritious, varied and delicious vegan meals the whole time.
We had an amazing time during our 4 day trek, and we would definitely recommend this amazing team to take you through magical Machu Picchu.
Thank you guys! Sol and Fede.
Had an amazing time on the Inca trail! Our tour guides Felix and Maribel went above and beyond. Felix was a fountain of knowledge and had answers to every question,… read more but beyond that was fun and friendly and was always ready with a joke and a smile. Maribel was so lovely and caring and full of positive reinforcement. The food was amazing with the staff preparing special dishes for Mother’s Day and a honeymoon – thank you to Julio Cesar! All in all a great trip :)
My very friendly tour guide, Juvenal took me to an extended city tour around Cusco. He has a deep knowledge of Inca culture and history.
He even… read more brought with him a book to show me the photos and the history of each site. I learned a lot about the main Inca sites and enjoyed the tour very much.
It was one of the best city tours I ever have taken. I truly recommend this tour with Juvenal.
Had a brilliant time on this trip. The guides Juan Felix and Maribel were incredibly nice, fun, informative and helpful throughout.
Chef Julio Cesar worked very hard to cater… read more to a variety of dietary needs in our group and did so while serving excellent food throughout the trip.
The porter team also worked tirelessly for us.
Overall had a fantastic trip and would 100% recommend
We spent the last 3 days trekking the Inca trail and finished at Machu Picchu today with TreXperience and had the best time. Our guide Robbie and the entire crew… read more of porters and cooks took great care of us and made sure we all started and finished together. We were woken up with hot coca tea delivered to our tents every morning and well fed with some of the most amazing hot meals and multi course lunches and dinners. Robbie made sure we got up early to beat the crowds so we could have the Inca sites to ourselves to enjoy in a relaxing manner and get great photos. This company goes above and beyond and the main reason id recommend them is how well they treat their employees. They all work so hard and they voiced to be happy working for this company. It always feels nice supporting a business that takes care of their own.
The tour was simply amazing, 2 days of seeing beautiful nature and thanks to our awesome guide Jose Luis we really had the time to enjoy the views and get… read more some great photos. Also Jose Luis was like a walking encyclopedia and shared with us his knowledge about the culture and history of the place as well as the flora and fauna. All in all a great experience which i would highly recommend to anyone in Cusco.
It was a great experience. We went with the guides Yoner and Edy – Both did an amazing job. We learned a lot of the history of inka and… read more of Peru!
A big clap for all porters! Without these guys , it is impossible to make this trail.
The food was also amazing!
We can recommende this tour to everybody!
We did Huchuy Qosqo Trek to Machu Picchu. The tour guide Manolo was excellent encouraging us all the way. The trek was bit challenging than we thought but we… read more had a great support team with us all the way.
Russel and Rosa gave us an amazing tour with lots of information on the history of inca sites and information along the trail. We visited many picturesque places and managed… read more to be the first group to Macchu Picchu helping avoid major crowds. Julio Cesar was our chef who cooked many delicious and filling meals and catered to dietary requirements.
First of all, I’ll start with the good things and then, some that personally it needs to be improved.
POSITIVE: first of all, the company is avobe others just… read more for the simple fact that they pay fairly to people, don’t over exploit them like others do (for example Alpaca expedition, we’ve seen double the KG a porter should be carrying), they also have nice details like the train back to Cusco is 360 panoramic (not all companies do that, just a few).
When it comed to porters, they are great, fast and efficient hars workers that are 100% paying attention to you since day 1. Special mention to the cookers, they are like god master chefs who cook amazing things in the middle of nowhere, most of the food was even better than the restaurants, incredible, geniuses.
Finally, thank you for the guides to take care of us and lead us all the way to Machupicchu, especial mention to @Juvenal, an amazing guide who’s organization was perfectly executed since the breefing day 0. He knows a lot about psychology of groups and how to handle them in tough situations, prepare them psychology for what’s to come and manage sudden events like that could affect or even end someone’s treck. We were amaze also by his knowledge of the culture and the trecking history. I’ve done lots of trecks like this around the world and I could say he’s one of the best, if not tge best guide ever had. Wish him the best in the future. I would repeat any future experience with him without doubt.
NEGATIVE: they promise premium customer service, and during the treck, we sort of had it, they claim to be avobe other companies when it comes to paychecks and caring people, and they are, but they also claim to be resourceful if any things turns wrong before the treck and to adapt an itinerary to you… and that, they didn’t deliver. Altitude sicknes hit me pretty hard first week in Peru and for one week we were asking yo have a plan B and gives us a final plan and pricing in case we had to cancel, they never did, and it was pretty chaotic, as the breefing sesion with our main guide Robinson. On that they didn’t deliver and I hope in the future they improve on that area, it was pretty disappointing to see they claim yo differentiate from the competence on that, to adjust and be more "personal" and flexibile in case something happens before the trip but unfortunately they didn’t.
THIS IS A DIRECT COMPLAIN TO THE COMPANY AND NOT THE AMAZING TEAM THEY HIRE TO EXECUTE THE TRECK. SO THE EXPERIENCE YOU’LL GET DURING AND FROM THE TEAM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS NEGATIVE PART FROM THE COMPANY.
I will still give them the 5 star hoping they improve that in the future!
This was simply an amazing experience. Our tour guides were fantastic. Edy is so knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of the Inca society, you can’t help but… read more be excited about it. Yoner’s happy disposition kept spirits up even during the most challenging sections. I learned more on this trek than I ever expected to. Rolando, the head chef on our tour, made delicious food every time, and made not one but two cakes (one was vegan) to celebrate the birthday of one member of our group. Everyone, from the porters, to the waiter (Jesus), to the chef, to our tour guides, made this a wonderful experience I will never forget.
Our guides Pepe and Filio were very knowledgeable and provided everything we needed to have a great 4 days. The food was also great, kudos to chef Senche. Very accommodating… read more to different diets as well.
I have hiked quit a lot, but this experience is different and unique with porters and chiefs services. I highly recommend it to anyone who don’t mind outdoor living… read more for a few days. More specifically, here are what I like and some thoughts
Like:
1. The porters are working very hard for very little, and they are very attentive, eager to please if we need anything. I would suggest to bring a lot more changes to tip them.
2. Our guides, Carlos and Joao are very personable and fun, knowable and experienced. I have enjoyed the interaction with them greatly. I wish I asked them a lot more questions, cultural and personal.
3. The chief ( Julio) and meals are excellent, I am amazed how did he manage to produce the meals with beautiful presentation under such primitive conditions? Again, the porters bring in everything include cooking stove, pots and pans, propane etc Tip is: be prepared to eat three square meal a day!:-)
Suggestions:
1. Company could ask us to indicate the t-shirt size ahead of time online to make it easier for the guides.
2. I would like to stick to the same sleeping bag and pillow, so a system to put our name there would be helpful.
3. For travelers, I wish I read more about the history so I can learn even more from the trip.
It was a wonderful experience, the trail/place and the people have touched me deeply, and I’d do it again!

Our trek was amazing. Any challenges we faced with altitude or other, our guide Nilo made sure we were taken care of. His explanations were very interesting, always with a… read more little humor on the side. He coordinated unbelievably well with the head chef, Zenobio, who’s cooking was just divine. Him and his team, Herbert and Alberto, were always so friendly and added so many beautiful personal touches to our meals, we were always looking forward to the next one. We are leaving to our next destination with a smile and will definitely recommend this trek to our friends and family.
Eddie and Soldad was incredible. Super good food. Reccomend to everybody. Very coltural as well. Kind people!
I tend not to leave reviews but this experience warrants one. It was an amazing experience and can’t recommend it enough!! Each campsite was beautiful with great views and I… read more travelled in a group of 6 so it was possible to get to know everyone well and made the experience even more special.
Carlos Colca our guide looked after us, encouraging us and making sure we got to each campsite safely with information about the places we trekked through. On the day we went up to Mschu Picchu he was organised and quick and we were the first group to get into the site. He was knowledgeable about history of the site and was able to answer all our questions.
Our chef Celso and sous chef Abel, consistently provided us with delicious meals throughout the trek with plenty of traditional Peruvian dishes. They also provided us with daily snacks which kept us going until our next meal.
Throughout this whole experience the attention to detail and thoughtfulness was apparent. From hot water bottles provided on the first night where the temperatures dropped during the night, to storage facilities for our duffel bags on the last day allowing us to explore Aguas Calientes unencumbered before heading back to Cusco.
I genuinely can’t recommend this company and this trek enough!! You will not be disappointed and it will be an unforgettable experience!!
My fiancé and I did a 4 day/3 night hike in the Ausangate Mountain with Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu on the last 2 days. It was AMAZING. Seriously such… read more a beautiful country. Our tour guide, Nilo, was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. He spoke great English and was really fun to hang out with 4 days. The tour also included 2 chefs and a porter. Our chefs Valvino and Luis Miguel were unreal. They made 5 course meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner out of a tent. Everything we had was SO good. And they woke us up every morning with hot tea and hot water to wash our faces. Our porter, Martin was so sweet. He set up our tent at every rest stop so we could rest in it and had camp set up and taken down so fast every day.
The entire crew was so hard working and nice and accommodating. I highly recommend Trexperience for any tour you’re thinking of booking and I highly recommend going to Peru for your next trip. It’s an absolutely beautiful country and they welcome tourism.
Favorite part? Everything. I wouldn’t change a single thing about this trip. Charlie, Sarita, and our chef, sous chef, and porters were just such an attentive and caring team. And… read more this is in addition to being on an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience. And did I mention the food? Holy smokes! Better than any food I had in Lima or Cusco (or in most places, really). I could not recommend this trip more—start to finish (even with some pretty intense, high altitude hiking) WORTH EVERY PENNY.
This was an awesome experience, we had a great tour with our guides Russel and Rosa. The food by chef Julio Caesar was terrific. It was a group full of… read more ‘super hikers’. We had a lot of fun, cool bananas! Estoy caliente!
I was looking for an alternative trekking experience and came across Huchuy Qosqo +Inca Trail 4D offered by Trexperience.
I’m a solo traveler so I booked just for… read more myself and it also turned out I was the only person (still low no. of tourists in post-pandemic and everyone goes for Inca or Salkantay trek) to book this trekking on specific dates.
Trexperience therefore basically organised a private trekking for me. For the first two days it was just me, my guide Maribel, chef Samuel and sous-chef Cipriano trekking to Huchuy Qosqo. And they took such a great care of me. Maribel is a fantastic and passionate guide with great English. She was my mom, my sister, my friend, my guide, my everything for two days. She’s also super knowledgeable about all the fauna and flora in the Andes and also she knows a lot about the Inca history. I could have not wished fot a better guide than Maribel!
Samuel and Cipriano were a great company too. And they were preparing delicious food. It was a true gourmet experience! Meals were big and they prepared variety of delicious food.
Maribel, Samuel and Cipriano were like family to me and I’m so grateful for the time we spent together. The last day they also taught me how to make a traditional Peruvian bbq! :)
Oh and I highly recommend Huchuy Qosqo trekking, beautiful landscapes and views. A lot of llamas and alpacas but no tourists or crowds like on Inca/Salkantay trek.
The next two days I joined a small group of five for the Short Inca trail. Also a great experience and I recommend asking for Jose Luis (Pepe). He is fun and experienced Machu Picchu guide!
Overall I highly recommend Trexperience!
Amazing trip! JJ was a great guide and had the best attitude. His assistant Yoner also did a good job. One of the best parts of the trail is the… read more gourmet food at camp every day. Highly recommend.
The trip was amazing experience! Everything was really well organised. The night before the adventure we had a meeting when everything about the tour was explained and all questions were… read more answered. Campsites were really great equipped, with our own toilet, good tents and proper sleeping bags (up to -10deg, so we didn’t get cold at night). And food at the campsite is as just great! Lunches and dinners with a few courser, breakfast full of options like pancakes, fruits, eggs. Everything was super delicious! Our guide JJ was incredibly amazing. He explained us everything about Incas culture and habits. He told us story of each temple we passed. Fully recommend to experience the Inca trail with this company!
We took the luxury inca trail trek with Trexperience mid April 2022. We always try to search for a local operator based on fellow travellers reviews. It was rather easy… read more in the case of Trexperience as they seem to benefit from numerous positive reviews on the web and they were one of the few companies able also to offer a more pampering version of the treck with better food, tents, beds, shower/wc.
The owner Carlos was responsive, informative, reliable and professional from start to finish and the team that helped us through the trek was great. I especially wish to mention Miguel, the guide, who was knolwgeable, helpful, supportive, responsible and more than anything, a great guy to have next to you on such a jurney.
The trek was amazing and the views are unforgetable.
I can wholeheartedly reccomend Trexxperience and take this opportunity to thank them again.
Beautiful trek. Challenging but so very worth it. The landscape is incredible and so varied. Everyone on the TreXperience team was amazing. Chef Rolando cooked us some really delicious meals,… read more and our guide Carlos was awesome and full of knowledge. Definitely recommend.
A supposedly straightforward 3 hour private guide for Machu Picchu ended up being very challenging and was anything but straightforward before it even began.
First off, there was a… read more strike that prevented us from getting to Aguas Calientes the day before the scheduled activity. This resulted in plans being changed. Then, my personal hotspot was acting up so I had spotty internet access when not in our hotel. As a result, communication with the company to arrange for a meeting place became almost impossible. Tom (Travel Advisor) was very patient in dealing with me and our agonizing back and forth emails especially since I also didn’t have WhatsApp so there was no way I could directly communicate with our guide Nohemi. To add insult to injury, the people in charge of the buses that go up the mountain wouldn’t let us get on the bus until just 40 minutes before our scheduled entry time. The long line meant that we didn’t get to the entrance until just a few minutes before our 12 noon entry time.
Nohemi was patiently waiting for us at the entrance of the citadel when we finally showed up. We appreciated her patience with all the issues we’ve encountered. And she did a wonderful job giving us insights about Machu Picchu – she answered all our questions and dispelled false notions that we’ve had. Moreover, she also served as our de facto photographer. She offered to take our photos at every opportunity and knew how to frame shots. She’s very personable and certainly knows her stuff.
The tour was conducted at a very leisurely pace and we never felt rushed. She gave us every opportunity to just gaze at the marvel before us and soak it in. It took us close to 3 hours from start to finish and we felt that the time was ample enough to really enjoy the experience.
When the tour was over and we returned to Aguas Calientes, Nohemi still volunteered to take more pictures of us there and then when we asked her for restaurant recommendations, she not only gave us one. She personally walked us to the restaurant and spoke with the staff there to tell them about our preferences. THAT, was above and beyond what was necessary.
Overall, I highly recommend this company.
We had such great 4 days with our group! Our guides Robinzon and Soledad made sure we were having the best time, looking after us, motivating us, telling us some… read more history and legends. Robinzon went out of his way to get us the best viewing spots, the best places to camp, rest, etc. He was always positive, joking, keeping our spirits up :) and special thanks for a coffee at the mountain top! Soledad was very caring, tranquil, patient and was tending to our needs. Thanks a lot guys! It’s been a pleasure to get to know you and you made our experience so much better!
The porters and chefs were amazing! Camp was always ready when we got there, they were helpful and willing to assist if needed. Can’t praise the chef enough who in some magic way managed to create such amazing dishes, with decoration, imagination put into them! Bravo!
Thanks a lot to the whole crew!
