I can really recommend this company and for sure the best guide Felix!

If I could rate higher than five stars I would. The MOST amazing trip!!! Perfect five days of an incredible trek, everything was meticulously planned and seamless. The food was… read more phenomenal, our chefs Celso and Abel took care to make three amazing meals a day with snacks throughout the day. The food was certainly a highlight of the trip— you will not go hungry with these guys. We had a group of 6 plus five porters and our amazing guide Carlos Colca. The atmosphere was so fun, we always had something to do and the equipment was high quality, clean and comfortable. The hotel on the last night was beautiful as well. I seriously cannot recommend this trip enough.
We were briefed before our inca trail hike. It was very useful, as they explained what the 2 days were going to look like. The hike was not difficult at… read more all. During the hike we took multiple breaks, so this also helped. Our tour guide (Jose Luis) was very knowledgeable and spoke english well. All in all a great experience
Best guide we could’ve asked for. Super knowledgeable and always concerned for our well being. Wouldn’t go with anyone else
First of all, I’ll start with the good things and then, some that personally it needs to be improved.
POSITIVE: first of all, the company is avobe others just… read more for the simple fact that they pay fairly to people, don’t over exploit them like others do (for example Alpaca expedition, we’ve seen double the KG a porter should be carrying), they also have nice details like the train back to Cusco is 360 panoramic (not all companies do that, just a few).
When it comed to porters, they are great, fast and efficient hars workers that are 100% paying attention to you since day 1. Special mention to the cookers, they are like god master chefs who cook amazing things in the middle of nowhere, most of the food was even better than the restaurants, incredible, geniuses.
Finally, thank you for the guides to take care of us and lead us all the way to Machupicchu, especial mention to @Juvenal, an amazing guide who’s organization was perfectly executed since the breefing day 0. He knows a lot about psychology of groups and how to handle them in tough situations, prepare them psychology for what’s to come and manage sudden events like that could affect or even end someone’s treck. We were amaze also by his knowledge of the culture and the trecking history. I’ve done lots of trecks like this around the world and I could say he’s one of the best, if not tge best guide ever had. Wish him the best in the future. I would repeat any future experience with him without doubt.
NEGATIVE: they promise premium customer service, and during the treck, we sort of had it, they claim to be avobe other companies when it comes to paychecks and caring people, and they are, but they also claim to be resourceful if any things turns wrong before the treck and to adapt an itinerary to you… and that, they didn’t deliver. Altitude sicknes hit me pretty hard first week in Peru and for one week we were asking yo have a plan B and gives us a final plan and pricing in case we had to cancel, they never did, and it was pretty chaotic, as the breefing sesion with our main guide Robinson. On that they didn’t deliver and I hope in the future they improve on that area, it was pretty disappointing to see they claim yo differentiate from the competence on that, to adjust and be more "personal" and flexibile in case something happens before the trip but unfortunately they didn’t.
THIS IS A DIRECT COMPLAIN TO THE COMPANY AND NOT THE AMAZING TEAM THEY HIRE TO EXECUTE THE TRECK. SO THE EXPERIENCE YOU’LL GET DURING AND FROM THE TEAM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS NEGATIVE PART FROM THE COMPANY.
I will still give them the 5 star hoping they improve that in the future!
We did the city tour and Sacred Valley Tour with Christian and Elvis who were fantastic. I would highly recommend a tour with them.
This trip was one of my best experiences. Spectacular sceneries and beautiful Inca sites on the way. Trexperience team was awesome. Our tour guid, Robinzon, was very knowledgeable about the… read more Inca’s history and the nature and gave us a lot of cool tips along the way. He had a really good sense of humor as well.
My friend and I have chronic knee pain so we walked slowly and were always behind the rest of the group. Robinzon was very patient, always walking behind us, assuring us to go with our own pace, always saying "step by step, go with your own pace and enjoy the hike!" :)
Our chef, Julio Cesar was amazing. I don’t even know how he could manage preparing and cooking 2-3 different types of food so quickly. Both the taste and the presentation of the meals were great.
Every step of the way was scheduled nicely and went on plan. I would highly recommend Trexperience.
Spectacular! From start to finish everything was clear and well organized. Pick up went as planned and the ride was comfortable, the company also stored the rest of our stuff.… read more We were given duffle bags for things that we didn’t want or need in our day backs and those were carried by amazing porters, more on them later. We also rented sleeping bags, inflatable pads and tracking poles -everything was in very good condition and served us well. The food throughout the whole trek was just out of this world. I don’t know how they managed to cook such an wholesome dishes in conditions that one finds on a hike, but it was incredible, from traditional Peruvian soups, ceviche to cakes (yes, that’s right). The guides were always helpful, cheerful and ready to say something interesting. Porters were supporting and the service they provide is unbelievable, we didn’t worry about anything (and there is a lot of things to worry about/they provide: food, camps, water, tents and other facilities), because we knew that we can rely on them.
Only time when we felt a bit uncomfortable was during the "tipping ceremony".
All in all we got to see sooo many lovely views, animals, plants and history, while hiking safely and supporting the local people.
Inca trail is hard but so worth it. Thank you Trexperience for a chance to be a part of this.

We had the most amazing time with the best tour guide, Charly. Charly is a man of multiple trades – he is so knowledgable about the history and culture of… read more the Inca Trail. We also found out that he is also a great photographer and a published author.
Although the Inca Trail is challenging, Charly was patient with each climber who climbed at different speed.
In addition, he introduced us to the Peruvian culture such as explaining us about the drinks that the porters were drinking.
We also had the best cook, Carmelo. He was amazing with his skills and creative with his dishes. I was always impressed by the meals.
Then, there were the impressively strong porters who were so friendly and welcoming.
It is so amazing to hear the great things that this tour company does for the porters like insurance and being the one of the first companies to employ women.
I honestly believed that we picked the best tour company. Go with a local company like this one!
Truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life! My husband and I booked the private 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu through Trexperience because of the great reviews,… read more and they exceeded every expectation. We were lucky enough to have Vincent as our guide – he was the best! He was a wonderful storyteller, a patient and encouraging guide, and very flexible with personalizing the experience for us. He had an answer for every question we had, and would occasionally ask us questions that we wouldn’t know the answer to – resulting in some of the most ridiculous jokes I’ve ever heard. Vincent also had a true respect and reverence for his history and traditional Inca customs, it was a beautiful experience to learn from him. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide to lead us to Machu Picchu!
Before starting the trail, we decided to stay overnight in Ollantaytambo to have a later wake up time (7AM pickup instead of 4AM, highly recommend). We decided to go with the private tour instead of a group because we wanted to go at our own pace, and honestly it wasn’t that much more expensive than the group tour – especially worth it when we considered the level of effort to get out there in the first place. We started the day on the Panoramic train to KM 104. Try to get seats on the side by the river. It’s beautiful from every angle, but that was definitely the place to get the best views. After getting off the train, we crossed the bridge and were greeted by an Andean Motmot! Such a lucky bird sighting! We were also fortunate to do the hike at the end of April, there were thousands of different orchids blooming on the trail.
Right away, you encounter the Inca Site of Chachabamba, directly across the river. It’s a great start to the trail before the ascent. The first half of the hike up to Wiñay Wayna was entirely uphill, it’s challenging but definitely doable. For reference, my husband and I are in our early-30s and moderately fit – we exercise regularly, but nothing can really prepare you for the altitude. Definitely stay in Cusco a couple days, drink lots of coca tea, and do what you need to do to adjust. After about 2.5 hours, we entered into a shaded area with a beautiful waterfall that we took a nice rest at. About 20 minutes from there, we reached Wiñay Wayna! This site alone is seriously worth the effort, it’s unbelievable from every direction. From there, the trail becomes a lot easier. Not as much continuous incline, Vincent referred to this part as "Inca flat" (basically quick ups and downs for the remainder of the hike). After one last push up a couple of daunting staircases, we reached the Sun Gate! It’s a surreal and spiritual experience, I can’t really put into words how special it was to see Machu Picchu in the distance. A little bit more walking from Intipunku, and we arrived at the bus station to be transported to Aguas Claientes.
The next morning, we woke up early and hopped on the same bus to be taken back to Machu Picchu. We had reserved tickets to climb Huayna Picchu, which we were feeling a bit nervous about, but I am so glad we did it. Honestly, the view at the top was worth every single stair to get up there. There were so many beautiful orchids, butterflies, and birds that provided great incentive (an excuse) to take rests on the way up. A true highlight of the experience! We still had plenty of time in Machu Picchu itself to see all of the temples and walk through the ruins. When our time was up, we said goodbye and hopped on the panoramic train in Aguas Calientes to return to Cusco in time for dinner and an early night of sleep.
This experience provided me with two of the best days of my life, and I could not recommend it more highly. A huge part of our experience was sharing it with Vincent, and I would absolutely recommend traveling with him if you can. We’re already planning on coming back to do the 4-day trail with him in the future! Until then, my husband and I will cherish the memories made on this unforgettable trip.

TravleXperienxe provided Porters who carried 7 kg of your stuff and those guys did an amazing job. As well as a great cook, Sous-chef and waiter ( the lovely Juvenal, who had his first table with us) who cooked great food and took good care about us. We received warm water every morning to wash ourselves and had a cup of coca tea. As a single traveler I had the chance to sleep in a single Teint (this you have to ask for explicitly). The guides were also awesome. Very funny and provided good information about the trip. Robinzon was our main guide. He is funny and empathetic and helped those who needed more help. Walter the second guide did. also a great job and took care of one of our group who had knee issues and needed much more time to walk.
I have to say, that it was the best trip I made in Peru and it is absolut worth the price. For those who are ich differing doing the Inka Trail, please be aware that you have to be fit. It is no walk in the park and especially Day 2 is physically hard. Even though the guises take care of you and provide you medicine if you have problems with the altitude etc. it is hard. If you feel fit enough definitely do it because it is the best experience you could get. In a nutshell I highly recommend this company.

TreXperience is a world class tour operator that puts a high priority on safety and customer service. We highly recommend them! Our family of four (with 18 and… read more 13 year old) booked the 4D/3N Classic Inca Trail.
I was recovering from a prior cold/illness before the trek began so was already at a deficit. When you add in the unpredictability of altitude sickness, anything can happen. Needless to say, I struggled significantly to make it to campsite 1. I was extremely fatigued, nauseous, coughing, and my breathing was extremely labored.
Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well that evening, could hear wheezing and my cough seem to get much worse. Knowing that Day 2 was the most difficult, to ascend an additional 4,000 feet at a very steep incline to reach a maximum altitude of 13,795 feet, I knew my physical limitations and didn’t want to put the entire group at risk. Therefore, I decided to descend.
I expected one of the porters to accompany me down, but it was not allowed. Instead, one of our tour guides, Sarita, escorted me down the mountain and went above and beyond to assist me and my 13 year old son (who voluntarily descended to look after his mother).
My daughter (18 year old) and husband continued onward and had an amazing experience. The trek was challenging albeit quite rewarding. Taking the trail gives you incomparable views from the sun gate that you cannot get trying to do Machu Picchu on your own.
We highly recommend TreXperience and ask for Sarita and Eddie!!
Sarita was AMAZING! Her English speaking skills were exceptional. She was kind, patient, and encouraging, telling me to go at my own pace and to stay hydrated. She was always willing to help, answer any questions, and provided great background knowledge about the Peruvian culture.
After a successful descent, Sarita went even further above and beyond. She assisted us in making hotel arrangements in Ollantaytambo and Agua Calientes, booked our train and bus tickets, escorted us to the train and hotel, offered to show us the Ollantaytambo archeological site or textile markets in our downtime, and successfully reunited us with my husband and daughter as they hiked into Machu Picchu on Day 4. Sarita was able to persuade the park ranger to allow us entry to the top terrace (Sun Gate ) to capture the postcard family photo of Machu Picchu.
All of the logistics of coordinating transport, lodging, and reuniting us with the group was not expected but greatly appreciated. We were very grateful to have Sarita by our side to help us with this process. Thank you TreXperience for being an outstanding tour operator with excellent guides.

We had an outstanding experience on the 5-day Lares to Short Inca trail with Juvenal as our guide, Lorenzo as our chef, Joao as assistant chef, and Toribio as our… read more porter. We were a small group (3) and the entire crew took incredible care of us to share the magical culture and scenery in the Sacred Valley. Please see the end of the review for a note on preparing for the altitude and general hike difficulty.
First and foremost, we thank our amazing guide, Juvenal, for bringing his in-depth knowledge for and love of the culture and people in the highlands of Lares. By communicating with local people (in Quechua), Juvenal was able to deliver an unparalleled experience of the incredible lifestyle, culture, and practices of the native people here. We were extremely moved and honored to share beautiful moments with the wonderful people of the highlands.
Juvenal also shared in-depth knowledge of the Inca and pre-Inca civilizations throughout the trek, and especially on the way to the stunningly beautiful and jaw-dropping ruins at Machu Picchu. The short Inca trail was an excellent way to reach Machu Picchu through the Sun gate (stunning view from here) in a single day’s hike.
We are so grateful for all of Juvenal’s knowledge and warm spirit. He makes a point to treat all people (not just us, but local people, the rest of the crew etc.) with kindness and respect. We couldn’t ask for a better guide for our experience. Thank you Juvenal!
Our head chef, Lorenzo, and his assistant Joao were absolutely incredible as well. Lorenzo blew our minds with how delicious (and even aesthetically pleasing) he could prepare meals while camping at 13,000 feet. My partner is vegetarian and he prepared an elaborate collection of nutritious and tailored meals for her along the way. He even prepared special meals when we both were struggling a bit with the altitude. Thank you Lorenzo and Joao!
Finally, our porter, Toribio, never ceased to impress with how quickly and safely he transported the our and the crew’s gear with his team of mules. It is astonishing how well he and his mules move through such a difficult landscape. Thank you Toribio!
We could never have anticipated how incredible and enriching this experience would be for all three of us. Not only did we see some the most incredible views of our lives, but we also learned and experienced an extremely rare and beautiful way of life that the native people of the highlands carry on. Their strength and kindness will stay with us for our entire lives.
A quick note on the demands of the trek itself. The three of us (ages 29-32, active and relatively experienced hikers) found the Lares portion very challenging due to it being at an altitude that none of us had hiked in before. We also made the mistake of not giving ourselves ample time to acclimate to the altitude in Cusco before starting the trek (and also tried to do it without altitude medication etc.). The coca tea/leaves helped to an extent but we absolutely recommend taking time (2-3 days) to acclimate in Cusco and taking altitude medication if you (like us) are not used to hiking at altitude. That way, nothing (besides the usual challenges of a difficult hike) gets in the way of your experience.
Even besides the altitude, this is a very challenging trek, so make sure you are comfortable with steep inclines/declines and heights in general before hiking the Andes. If you are up for the challenge, it is absolutely incredible!
Thank you Juvenal, Lorenzo, Joao, Toribio, and all of the beautiful people we met along the way for an unforgettable experience!!
