Edwin was a great guide. Super friendly and helpful. Great accomadation and activities all very well organised. Thank you so much!
We just finished the 4D3N Inca Trek and TreXperience took the best care of us. Robbie and his team made sure the whole family finished the trek. They encouraged us… read more along the way and kept a pace that wouldn’t overexert us. He knew all the cool spots to take breaks and he made sure we started early to beat the crowds. The cooks spoiled us with the most amazing food and the porters setup our tents so they’d be ready to slumber in once we got to our sites. I recommend this company to anyone wanting to go on their next Incan adventure!
We had an excellent experience with trexperience on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. We had Charlie and Sara as guides and they were amazing. Charlie has an incredible knowledge… read more of both history and the nature, which he shared with the whole group on the way. Furthermore we had amazing food along the way! We even got three courses at every meal. All in all an amazing experience!
I had one of my best experiences during the 4-days Inca-trail hike with the TreXperience. The trail and scenery is spectacular. But it could be really difficult without our experienced tour guide… read more and team (great chef and porters). Here are good and bad things about TreXperience:
Good:
– Great great team, specifically the guid (Robinson) and the chef(Julio Secar) (see below)
– Great organization of the whole trip: Everything was reasonably scheduled (wake up, food, sleep times).
– Reasonable plans: All the stuff was planned in a way that all of our group enjoyed.
– Helpful orientation before the trip and pick-up and drop-off plus storing our loguages during our trip.
Bad/Suggestions: Really cannot think of anything!
About our guide and chef:
Our tour guide(Robbinson) was one of the main factors that made our experience great. He was very patient. While he let faster members go ahead and enjoy their speed, he always followed the last person (the slowest) and made sure that they were OK and enjoying their trip. He had a really good sense of humor and he was very knowledgeable not only about the historical sites and Incas’ history, but also about the nature there. He showed us a lot of very cool stuff about how Inca’s would use nature to survive.
Also the chef was incredibly good. He made a lot of different foods (mostly Peruvian) with really good quality (every time I wished I could eat more).
And finally, none of these would be possible without our super nice local porters.
Everything was well thought of to the smallest details.
The guides were knowledgeable and from the local community of the Inca region.
I like that they have two… read more women guides to accommodate an all women group mentored by a very passionate charismatic male guide who empowered them to take the lead throughout the trail.
The porters were beyond helpful, they were pleasant and encouraging with their smiles and high spirit as they worked hard to set up the tents and attend to all our needs, a group of 9 women.
The food is another level of camp food. We were well fed. We wouldn’t have gotten that quality of food in a standard restaurant: from The variety to quantity of food and the presentation. I could go on and on. In short, you can’t go wrong with food with Chef Julius Cesar and her assistants. Every day and night was a different dish. We even asked for the recipe to attempt to make it at home.
I will miss everything about this experience. Thank you Jose, Rosa, and Lordes. Truly you made a beautiful experience unforgettable.
My friend and I had a great experience!! From the amazing food, the staff, the wonderful guide, I mean we couldn’t have asked for a better first hiking experience. We had a fantastic time hiking the Inca Trail with Trexperience – genuinely cannot fault the tour, the food (which was incredible, some of the best we had in peru… read more and great for vegetarians) and our knowledgeable and lovely tour guides, Vianna and Johan. The organisation of the trip was 10/10 and we felt so lucky to experience it with such a great tour group. If you’re looking for an ethical tour company that treats its staff (including porters and chefs) well, then look no further and book with Trexperience! I was moved to hear the stories of each member of staff and it was great to be introduced to them all on day 3 of the hike.
The only thing which i think could be improved is the clarity around how much to tip before attending – the recommended tip overall worked out around £150 per person which we hadn’t understood and therefore hadn’t brought with us beforehand, so we then went to a cash point. Of course its entirely discretionary whether and how much to tip, however more clarity before the trek would have been really appreciated so we didn’t turn up shortchanged.
Our trip with TreXperience was so special. Not only were we encouraged and supported by our guides Edy and Yoner all along the way, learning so much about the Inca… read more trail and it’s history, keeping us smiling and laughing. Aside from the sickness, she was super knowledgeable and fun along our journey. She absolutely went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable! Thank you!!

The food was great – I ate better in the mountains than I do at home lol. The views are amazing. It’s an unforgettable experience.
The whole Trexexperience was amazing. From hiking to camping overnight with this group, this was the only way to do it. Our guide, Miguel, was fantastic. He was… read more fun, interesting, helpful, and went over the top to make the trip the best. The porters had everything set up for us before we needed it, including all of our overnight camping gear. Our chef, Celso, was also amazing. The food was just delicious, and, as a surprise, he baked me a birthday cake! It was the best and only was too do Machu Picchu.

Carlos was wonderful and gentle with me when I struggled with the heights and the body pain. He even helped carry my daypack.
I couldn’t have asked for a better support team!
I have spent an absolutely amazing (and exhausting) 4 days hiking the Inca Trail with Trexperience. Our guides Charly and Sarita have been attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and have truly made this adventure for us! From start to finish, she was very knowledgeable and… read more respected one’s physical limitations when you are reaching 5000m above sea level and just come off of a 4 day Inca Trail! I would imagine most companies just pick you up, take you there and then drop you back but this tour had GOURMET breakfast and lunch included prepared by the genius chef that is Lorenzo with his assistant Miguel looking out onto the mountain range. We can only recommend it to anyone thinking of taking on the challenge (it… read more wasn’t actually as hard as we thought it would be but we are quite a fit group!). Our guide Adolfo had lots of great history and stories to tell, which were usually accompanied by ridiculously good food cooked by Amilcar and his team. Seriously, we ate better than we did in Cusco most nights!
The camping equipment was all of a very good standard, and the added touch of a hot water bottle on night one which was the coldest (-5C degrees) was hugely appreciated by all. In addition, the logistics of our trip w ere incredibly well organised thanks to Amilcar, Elmer, Wilburgh and Cecilio, meaning that nothing was amiss and we did everything in good time.
We were very unlucky with our weather on Day 5, and unfortunately the clouds never parted for us to get a full view of Machu Picchu, which Adolfo told us had never happened in his 15 years of experience (cries inside). Nonetheless, he was very cheerful and told us all the history very enthusiastically to still make it a memorable experience.
If we trek in Cusco again, I think Trexperience would certainly be our choice and our group would all highly recommend to others.
Thanks Adolfo and team!

My friend and I have chronic knee pain so we walked slowly and were always behind the rest of the group. Robinzon was very patient, always walking behind us, assuring us to go with our own pace, always saying "step by step, go with your own pace and enjoy the hike!" :)
Our chef, Julio Cesar was amazing. I don’t even know how he could manage preparing and cooking 2-3 different types of food so quickly. Both the taste and the presentation of the meals were great.
Every step of the way was scheduled nicely and went on plan. I would highly recommend Trexperience.

Although the Inca Trail is challenging, Charly was patient with each climber who climbed at different speed.
In addition, he introduced us to the Peruvian culture such as explaining us about the drinks that the porters were drinking.
We also had the best cook, Carmelo. He was amazing with his skills and creative with his dishes. I was always impressed by the meals.
Then, there were the impressively strong porters who were so friendly and welcoming.
It is so amazing to hear the great things that this tour company does for the porters like insurance and being the one of the first companies to employ women.
I honestly believed that we picked the best tour company. Go with a local company like this one!

He really took care of our needs. My dad got tired along the way and Vincent was still able to provide a fulfilling tour both on foot (for myself) and by van (for my dad).
We had somewhere to be directly after the tour and him and Donny, our driver were kind enough to offer driving us straight there after the tour!
Not only was our tour filled with breathtaking views and informative lessons, it was welcoming and filled with even better people! I would highly recommend this to others.
A supposedly straightforward 3 hour private guide for Machu Picchu ended up being very challenging and was anything but straightforward before it even began.
First off, there was a… read more strike that prevented us from getting to Aguas Calientes the day before the scheduled activity. This resulted in plans being changed. Then, my personal hotspot was acting up so I had spotty internet access when not in our hotel. As a result, communication with the company to arrange for a meeting place became almost impossible. Tom (Travel Advisor) was very patient in dealing with me and our agonizing back and forth emails especially since I also didn’t have WhatsApp so there was no way I could directly communicate with our guide Nohemi. To add insult to injury, the people in charge of the buses that go up the mountain wouldn’t let us get on the bus until just 40 minutes before our scheduled entry time. The long line meant that we didn’t get to the entrance until just a few minutes before our 12 noon entry time.
Nohemi was patiently waiting for us at the entrance of the citadel when we finally showed up. We appreciated her patience with all the issues we’ve encountered. And she did a wonderful job giving us insights about Machu Picchu – she answered all our questions and dispelled false notions that we’ve had. Moreover, she also served as our de facto photographer. She offered to take our photos at every opportunity and knew how to frame shots. She’s very personable and certainly knows her stuff.
The tour was conducted at a very leisurely pace and we never felt rushed. She gave us every opportunity to just gaze at the marvel before us and soak it in. It took us close to 3 hours from start to finish and we felt that the time was ample enough to really enjoy the experience.
When the tour was over and we returned to Aguas Calientes, Nohemi still volunteered to take more pictures of us there and then when we asked her for restaurant recommendations, she not only gave us one. She personally walked us to the restaurant and spoke with the staff there to tell them about our preferences. THAT, was above and beyond what was necessary.
Overall, I highly recommend this company.
