JJ was our guide for the LUXURY classic Inca trail 4 day trek experience. Walter was our chef and Filio was our assistant guide. I cannot explain… read more to you enough how much this trip impacted my life. It was so memorable! We couldn’t have done it with this level of Luxury without TreXperience and their amazing team. We arrived on the 4th day at Machu Picchu thinking it would be a cloudy rainy day but the clouds broke and it was incredible. The team encouraged us and thanks to JJ and Filio we remained positive! Thank you Pachamama!!!!
I was looking for an alternative trekking experience and came across Huchuy Qosqo +Inca Trail 4D offered by Trexperience.
I’m a solo traveler so I booked just for… read more myself and it also turned out I was the only person (still low no. of tourists in post-pandemic and everyone goes for Inca or Salkantay trek) to book this trekking on specific dates.
Trexperience therefore basically organised a private trekking for me. For the first two days it was just me, my guide Maribel, chef Samuel and sous-chef Cipriano trekking to Huchuy Qosqo. And they took such a great care of me. Maribel is a fantastic and passionate guide with great English. She was my mom, my sister, my friend, my guide, my everything for two days. She’s also super knowledgeable about all the fauna and flora in the Andes and also she knows a lot about the Inca history. I could have not wished fot a better guide than Maribel!
Samuel and Cipriano were a great company too. And they were preparing delicious food. It was a true gourmet experience! Meals were big and they prepared variety of delicious food.
Maribel, Samuel and Cipriano were like family to me and I’m so grateful for the time we spent together. The last day they also taught me how to make a traditional Peruvian bbq! :)
Oh and I highly recommend Huchuy Qosqo trekking, beautiful landscapes and views. A lot of llamas and alpacas but no tourists or crowds like on Inca/Salkantay trek.
The next two days I joined a small group of five for the Short Inca trail. Also a great experience and I recommend asking for Jose Luis (Pepe). He is fun and experienced Machu Picchu guide!
Overall I highly recommend Trexperience!
Best experience ever!
We had the best experience through the Inca Trail for four days with an amazing team.
JJ and Juan were amazing tour guides, very knowledgeable and… read more friendly.
They shared all the information they knew about this amazing culture and the Inca history, while providing us with the best comfort along with the outstanding and very hardworking porters.
My partner and I are vegan, and Raymundo, the head chef, ensured we had very nutritious, varied and delicious vegan meals the whole time.
We had an amazing time during our 4 day trek, and we would definitely recommend this amazing team to take you through magical Machu Picchu.
Thank you guys! Sol and Fede.
What an excellent trip! The scenery, the guides, the group we were with and wow!: the food!
All great and what a life changing experience!

I did the two day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu excursion with Robinzon as our guide. I am 43 and in good shape (HIIT workouts 2-3 times per week… read more and typically a 5K run each week). The trail wasn’t too bad, although parts could be challenging. I completed the trip in tennis shoes.
Robinzon was AMAZING!! He went at our pace (my 67 yo mother was with us) and was very patient. He was also very knowledgeable about history, flora, and fauna. Robinzon made sure we knew what was going on for each part of our trip and that we were taken care of- even checking in on mom the day after our trip! He took great pictures of us to document our experience. I wouldn’t have wanted any other guide- Robinzon was great!!
Edy & Rosa were amazing guides! Raymundo made the best local meals and Juvenal (head portor) made sure we were always taken care of from throwing out mats to nap… read more on to ensuring our tents were pitched asap. All the portors went above and beyond and genuinely cared we were as comfortable as possible. Portors would run ahead of us to make sure they got lunch or dinner ready before we arrived on site. Edy and Rosa were fun, super informative on the Inca history, showed us the coca blessing, and was very adaptive to our situation and group’s needs. This hike wasn’t just about a hike and the views. It was about the history of the Inca’s, taste Peruvian food, and to make great friends and learn about the local culture! I would definitely recommend Trexperience to anyone who is thinking about any hikes to Machu Picchu!
Unfortunately, it was too challenging for us (in our 60s) so if you’re over 55 our advice is not to attempt it unless you are superfit. However, If you are… read more planning to do the 4 day challenge, TreXPerience is most highly recommended. We trekked with Charly – who took full care of us and when it was clear that we would not be able to carry on, he and TreXperience were supreme in their support of us arranging to have us accompanied from the trek back to where we could be collected by motorbike and then taken to km.82, where a driver picked us up and took us to a hotel which the company had arranged for us. The company (and Charly when he could connect to data) were in constant contact with us advising us on how to make the journey by transport to Aguascalientes and onward to Machu Picchu where we met up with the group again. Everyone (Charley, Tom, Coronel, porters and drivers), where outstanding in their care of us and, they will be our first of call for any other tours when we come back to Cusco. Charly is also impressive as an historian and passionate about his culture.
If I could rate higher than five stars I would. The MOST amazing trip!!! Perfect five days of an incredible trek, everything was meticulously planned and seamless. The food was… read more phenomenal, our chefs Celso and Abel took care to make three amazing meals a day with snacks throughout the day. The food was certainly a highlight of the trip— you will not go hungry with these guys. We had a group of 6 plus five porters and our amazing guide Carlos Colca. The atmosphere was so fun, we always had something to do and the equipment was high quality, clean and comfortable. The hotel on the last night was beautiful as well. I seriously cannot recommend this trip enough.
Highly recommended! Had an amazing time thanks especially to our guide Carlos Ccolcca who was very knowledgeable and friendly and our chef Julio Cesar who cooked us amazing 5 course… read more meals every night including a birthday cake on my birthday. Can’t wait to come again!
Juan Luis was great. All details were what we expected. I learned so much and the experience was once in a life time.
My fiancé and I did a 4 day/3 night hike in the Ausangate Mountain with Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu on the last 2 days. It was AMAZING. Seriously such… read more a beautiful country. Our tour guide, Nilo, was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. He spoke great English and was really fun to hang out with 4 days. The tour also included 2 chefs and a porter. Our chefs Valvino and Luis Miguel were unreal. They made 5 course meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner out of a tent. Everything we had was SO good. And they woke us up every morning with hot tea and hot water to wash our faces. Our porter, Martin was so sweet. He set up our tent at every rest stop so we could rest in it and had camp set up and taken down so fast every day.
The entire crew was so hard working and nice and accommodating. I highly recommend Trexperience for any tour you’re thinking of booking and I highly recommend going to Peru for your next trip. It’s an absolutely beautiful country and they welcome tourism.
It was an amazing experience. Beautiful views all the way. The first two days were full of trekking and the hardest. Our guide Nilo was very attentive, caring and concerned.… read more He was very easy to talk to and I loved listening to his stories while hiking. I really enjoyed our meals prepared by chef Vacilio and sous chef Eusebio. Lots of Peruvian dishes as well as few surprises like pancakes and birthday cake. Our horseman Frank was working hard as well taking care of our tents and all the belongings. I really enjoyed everything, and the views were always incredible. I would definitely recommend TreXperience!
An unforgettable 4 days made even better with our great host Carlos Ccolcca who made the journey both fun and informative and the best chef we have seen in action… read more Julio Cesar and the amazing porter team we had. 4 days of beautiful scenery and amazing hosts. The tour guide Bernabe made the trip so special, was super friendly… read more and had lots of amazing information to share. We ate so well every day thanks to the chef Timo, some of the best food I’ve had in Peru and we even got a cake for our friends birthday!
Would highly recommend!

Were it not for my faithful spouse and the never ending smiles in support by our Trexperience guides, William & Jonas, I might have given up on day two. They were always happy, always accommodating, while also making sure we continued to learn about the incredible Incan history. William’s love for his country and its history embodies all that he does on the trail. The food was unbelievable and I still can’t wrap my mind around how the cook was able to put together such tasty, filling food but also such a beautiful presentation for each meal. William & Jonas are pure souls & I’m better for having witnessed their patience & kindness.
The only real comforts on the trail were those amazing meals and the warm sleeping bag (although make sure to bring plenty of layers because there will at least be a few nights where you’re gonna need them in addition to the great sleeping bag; I also recommend paying extra for the small blow up pad). Oh, one more thing, the porters laid out hot bowls of water at the end of each hike so we could wash our hands in warm water. My husband and I used ours to take good, old-fashioned spit baths inside the tent because by evening it is always very cold and a little bit of hot water was nice. It’s the small things!
You won’t take a real shower for four full days unless you can stand the two places where there is an ice cold option; bathrooms are all along the trail but most don’t have toilet paper, almost none have a seat (ladies), & on the last part of the trail the toilets are in the ground. It was hell trying to squat after the previous days hikes & my legs weren’t happy.
Speaking of porters, my mind was blown. I couldn’t help but worry about the condition of their backs and knees as they age but so many of them have been doing this for years. Apparently the pay is good because their meals are included and they never seem to complain. After we were tucked in our tents at night we could hear them laughing among each other. They are a very strong, quiet crew and I was humbled and grateful each day as they passed us. The last evening they introduce themselves to us and their age is ranged from 20 to 47. We wouldn’t have been able to tell their ages. I feel very
If you’re physically able, I highly recommend this life-changing event. You will meet amazing people, you’ll see views that will leave your jaw dropping, and you will find yourself physically uncomfortable and testing yourself in ways that will build character. It’s a good soul-searching trip as well. I’m forever grateful that we made the trip and would recommend William, Jonas, and this company a million times!!
We did both a half day Cusco city tour and a full day Sacred Valley tour with Jhony and it was absolutely awesome! Jhony did a fantastic job taking us… read more to all the best spots and explaining all of the history and culture. He is the last Great Inka King! It is a well organized trip (porters, cook, guides) that do everything – so it is more a luxury trek, if you like to hike real basic :)

Robinzon went out of his way to get us the best viewing spots, the best places to camp, rest, etc. He was always positive, joking, keeping our spirits up :) and special thanks for a coffee at the mountain top! Soledad was very caring, tranquil, patient and was tending to our needs. Thanks a lot guys! It’s been a pleasure to get to know you and you made our experience so much better!
The porters and chefs were amazing! Camp was always ready when we got there, they were helpful and willing to assist if needed. Can’t praise the chef enough who in some magic way managed to create such amazing dishes, with decoration, imagination put into them! Bravo!
Thanks a lot to the whole crew!
Excellent trip! Beautiful environments, good food and Eddie was a great guide! A once in a lifetime experience that I’d definitely recommend.

TravleXperienxe provided Porters who carried 7 kg of your stuff and those guys did an amazing job. As well as a great cook, Sous-chef and waiter ( the lovely Juvenal, who had his first table with us) who cooked great food and took good care about us. We received warm water every morning to wash ourselves and had a cup of coca tea. As a single traveler I had the chance to sleep in a single Teint (this you have to ask for explicitly). The guides were also awesome. Very funny and provided good information about the trip. Robinzon was our main guide. He is funny and empathetic and helped those who needed more help. Walter the second guide did. also a great job and took care of one of our group who had knee issues and needed much more time to walk.
I have to say, that it was the best trip I made in Peru and it is absolut worth the price. For those who are ich differing doing the Inka Trail, please be aware that you have to be fit. It is no walk in the park and especially Day 2 is physically hard. Even though the guises take care of you and provide you medicine if you have problems with the altitude etc. it is hard. If you feel fit enough definitely do it because it is the best experience you could get. In a nutshell I highly recommend this company.
I’ll admit this was a gruelling trek, but the feeling of walking into Machu Picchu and all the history and culture along the way was so much better than taking… read more the train and bus in for a day trip. Half our group almost didnt complete the trip, two had sore knees from downhill steps, one had a sore back and altitude sickness, and a teenager burnt himself out on the first day throwing up and diarrhea. But our guides, Eddie and Rosa were excellent. They really cared about the group and lived the Quechuan culture of Family. Eddie was extremely passionate about the history and culture and Rosa was always smiling and laughing. porters from Pisac were also amazing. They ran around furiously after tirelessly hiking up and down dead womans pass to set up tents and mattresses for those that were struggling so they could get some rest. One of the group that was sick fell into some bushes and got small burrs all over his sweater. One porter spent half an hour picking the burrs out while he got some rest. Way above and beyond. Thank you Juvenal for all that you and your porters did for us. As most people say, the food was also excellent. Chef Raymundo made some amazing dishes and his fruit art was incredible. There was honestly way too much food. More than our group could possibly eat. If you want a truly unique experience and that once in lifetime experience of walking into Machu Picchu after a well earned trek, then do this trek. You definitely cant go wrong with TreXperience.

The three-course meals and varied breakfasts served every day by the traveling chef were always well received. The porters heaved tents and sleeping bags ahead to prepare the campsite for us each day.
Our tour guides Edy and Juan were very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic and I really enjoyed their company throughout.
Overall a great experience. Just note that you will be sharing the trail with your group, other groups, and the 20+ porters for each group. it can feel a bit crowded at times.
Also, if you are from a country without a tipping culture – and especially if you’re on a tight budget – be aware that there is a strong expectation of significant tips at the end for the guides, chef and porters that accompany you along the way. They tell you it’s voluntary but it won’t feel that way.

At each stop site for lunch and dinner we were given fresh water and soap to wash our hands. Every moment with TreXperience were very thoughtful! To top it off, our guide Robbie made us hot espresso when we arrive to the highest peak of the trek! It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! Thank you Bernabe and the rest of the Trexperience team for a unique experience I will never forget!!
What an incredible experience!! From the food, to the porters who carried everything up and down the mountains, to our wonderful guide, Edy, every detail was amazing. I highly recommend… read more this trip. Prepare yourself though, as you definitely need to be in relatively good shape to handle the full day hikes. We arrived every late afternoon to our tents already set up by the porters and the food already getting cooked for dinner. What a treat! The food is another level of camp food. We were well fed. We wouldn’t have gotten that quality of food in a standard restaurant: from The variety to quantity of food and the presentation. I could go on and on. In short, you can’t go wrong with food with Chef Julius Cesar and her assistants. Every day and night was a different dish. We even asked for the recipe to attempt to make it at home.
I will miss everything about this experience. Thank you Jose, Rosa, and Lordes. Truly you made a beautiful experience unforgettable.
