The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism has created the policy against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA). The ESNNA Code and TreXperience S.A.C. they have a joint action agreement to prevent and eradicate this problem.
The ESNNA Program and Our Commitment
This program, focused on social development and the protection of vulnerable populations, is a broad and complex initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
It consists of sensitizing and training the entire tourism sector in the country with the aim of preventing and eliminating the sexual exploitation of minors. TreXperience is committed to aligning itself with the most demanding government regulations to guarantee tourism quality and respect for human rights.
For authorized and certified tourism agencies such as TreXperience, the program ESNNArequests adherence to a Code of Conduct, which is signed with Mincetur. This code requires the company to disclose this initiative, its rules and objectives, in addition to adequately training its personnel and suppliers. The company undertakes to work in strict accordance with all the requirements of the Code.
Unfortunately, child trafficking in Peru is a serious problem, but it is being combated. Through ethically responsible tourism, TreXperience seeks to bring development, economic activity and improvement of the quality of life to the destinations we visit. Our commitment to the ESNNA program allows us to contribute to the reduction and eradication of sexual exploitation of minors.
Concrete Actions – ESNNA Code
Adherence to the ESNNA Code of Conduct commits us to carry out a series of actions that are constantly reinforced as part of our activities.
Our office staff, as well as the logistics staff (guides, cooks, drivers, porters) are duly trained to comply with the Code of Conduct. Our tourists, both nationals and foreigners, are not offered or granted any application related to sex tourism with children or adolescents, for ethical and legal reasons.
In addition, we work together with our partners (hotels, restaurants, etc.) and all of their staff to ensure that the objectives and commitments of the ESNNA program are met at all stages of the tourist services we provide.
All of us in TreXperience and our partners in operations are committed to enforcing the ESNNA Code of Conduct and denouncing any situation that warrants it before the competent authorities.
The actions of the ESNNA code and TreXperience they have priority within our social responsibility policies. We seek to make tourism an activity that leaves only benefits for the region and the country, in accordance with our mission, vision and corporate values.
